Welcome to The Gem Project Sanctuary Dog Play Park & Party Venue!
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we ask that every visitor agrees tothe following rules:
1. Dog Health & Safety
• All dogs must be vaccinated (rabies, distemper, parvovirus) and free of contagious illnesses.
• Dogs must be microchipped or wear identification tags.
• Aggressive dogs or dogs in heat are not permitted.
2. Owner Responsibility
• Owners are fully responsible for their dog’s behavior and any damage or injury caused.
• Dogs must remain under supervision at all times.
• Owners must clean up after their dogs immediately using provided waste bins.
3. Park Rules
• Dogs must be kept on a leash until inside designated offleash areas.
• Small and large dog zones must be respected.
• No outside food for dogs is allowed unless approved by management.
• Human food and drinks are restricted to designated areas.
4. Birthday Parties & Events
• Party bookings must be made in advance.
• Dogfriendly cakes and treats must be sourced from approved suppliers.
• Decorations must be safe and nonhazardous to animals.
• Children must be supervised by adults at all times.
5. Liability & Compliance
• By entering, visitors acknowledge that use of the park is at their own risk.
• The Gem Project Sanctuary is not liable for theft, loss, injuries, accidents, or illnesses.
• Visitors agree to comply with City of Cape Town bylaws and venue staff instructions.
Dog Park & Party Venue Liability Waiver
Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk
I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Voluntary Participation I understand that participation in activities at The Gem Project Sanctuary Dog Play Park & Party Venue is voluntary and involves risks associated with dogs and outdoor activities.
2. Assumption of Risk I accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage to myself, my dog(s), or my property that may occur while using the facilities.
3. Owner Responsibility I agree to supervise my dog(s) at all times and ensure they are healthy, vaccinated, and not aggressive. I am solely responsible for my dog’s behavior.
4. Release of Liability I release and discharge The Gem Project Sanctuary, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of my participation or my dog’s participation in activities at the venue.
5. Indemnification I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Gem Project Sanctuary against any claims brought by third parties resulting from my dog’s actions.
6. Compliance I agree to abide by all posted rules, staff instructions, and applicable City of Cape Town bylaws.
