Sensation

HER STORY

Sensation is one of the original residents of The Gem Project Sanctuary, having come with the property when we first started. Initially, Sensation was very shy, nervous, and skittish — traits that puzzled us until a full medical examination revealed she is completely blind in one eye due to a condition called Phthisis Bulbi, with only partial sight in the other. This explained much of her cautious behavior.

LIFE AT THE SANCTUARY

With thoughtful adjustments to her living environment, Sensation has adapted remarkably well and now enjoys a much calmer, more contented life. She also lives with sweet itch, a skin sensitivity caused by insect bites, and requires ongoing medication to keep her comfortable.
