HIS STORY

Peekaboo was rescued from extremely poor and abusive conditions, and the trauma left deep emotional scars. Terrified of people, he was especially sensitive around his face and mouth. At the time of his rescue, he was still a four-year-old colt, carrying not only fear but strong, unmanaged coltish behaviour.

PERSONALITY AND PROGRESS

After being gelded, his physical recovery began, but his emotional healing is still very much ongoing. Peekaboo’s journey is a long one, and at times, we’ve enlisted the help of professional equine behaviourists. While he remains a complex and sensitive horse, Peekaboo is in the one place he will always be safe.
