Well hello, I’m Maxi! If you haven’t noticed me around the sanctuary yet, don't worry, you aren't the first.

While the dogs with more complex needs are busy hogging all the attention, I’m the model student quietly sitting in the background, being a good, reliable boy who never breaks a rule.

My curse is that I am completely uncomplicated. I already know all my basic obedience commands, I get along beautifully with all humans, and I am exceptionally well-socialised with other dogs. Living with me is an absolute breeze. I have mastered the perfect balance of calm and playful, so I am just as happy relaxing quietly on the floor while you work as I am heading out for a good stroll.

I’ve spent a long time being the independent sibling who never causes a scene, but I am entirely ready for someone to finally look my way.
