My name is Zara, and I came with the farm. I've watched The Gem Project grow around me over the years, but I'm still waiting for one thing I've never had: a family of my own.

I can be a little shy when we first meet, but don't let that fool you. Offer me a treat, a kind word or a gentle scratch, and before long you'll have a loyal friend who loves nothing more than giving kisses. My grey muzzle might tell a story, but I promise my heart still has so many chapters left to write.

As for other dogs, I'm happiest keeping life simple and would love to be the only dog in my home. After all, I've spent my whole life sharing. I think it's finally time I had my people all to myself.

If you've ever had a soft spot for a senior dog, I hope you'll come and meet me. I may have waited a long time, but I haven't stopped believing there's someone out there saving a place on the couch just for me.
